Here's how Off-Peak Water control works:

A special radio control switches ON the electric water heater for at least 8 hours in a 24 hr period. A separate electric meter keeps track of the electricity used by the water heater, which shows up on your electric bill at its discounted rate.

You can also wire this water heater into an existing Off-Peak, Dual-Fuel, or Freedom Heating system.

You will need a minimum of 100 gallons of equivalent storage capacity to qualify for this program. Your customer service representative can help you to size your system to insure it supplies enough hot water for your family.

For new construction, or for converting from a gas water heater, Crow Wing Power Members can get a $300 rebate for participating in this program. To replace an existing controlled electric water heater, you may be eligible for a $200 rebate.
