Incumbents re-elected at Crow Wing Power Annual Meeting
An estimated 2000 people attended the 73rd annual Crow Wing Power Member Appreciation Day and Annual Meeting Saturday. The total number of ballots cast in this year’s board election was 6,724. Three incumbents were re-elected to the board - Gordon Martin with 6,260 votes; Don O’Brien with 3,646 votes over Dave Saatoff with 2,968; and Kay Blais with 3,682 votes against Bryan McCulloch who received 2,965. After the annual meeting the board held their re-organizational meeting where Gordon Martin was elected president; Gert Roggenkamp, vice president; Kay Blais, secretary and Lois Hansen, treasurer.

Each year Minnesota's Touchstone Energy Cooperatives coordinate state park projects. This year, Crow Wing Power is sponsoring the clean up activities at Cuyuna Country Rec Area and the Crow Wing State Park.
CROW WING STATE PARK - Saturday, May 1, 2010, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.; Despite cold and drizzly weather 12 cooperative members, employees and friends helped to clean and prepare trails and rebuild some wooden walking trails.
CUYUNA COUNTRY REC AREA (Crosby/Ironton) (24th annual mineland clean-up) - was held Wed., May 5, Each year about 200 people, including high school students from Crosby-Ironton High school gather to clean the mineland area.
This years Member Appreciation and Annual Meeting was held June 12, with a Free Breakfast, fun and games for the whole family.
Board Elections voted in three incumbents, Kay Blais, Gordon Martin and Don O'Brien.

During April and May, Crow Wing Power visited five elementary schools (Riverside, Harrison, St. Francis, Motley and Pillager) teaching kids to be energy hog busters. Each year school children are very excited and interested in going home to stop any waste of energy they might find after an Energy Hog presentation.
