Payment Options

We have a number of ways for you to pay your electric bill.

Paying your Bill OnLine: To pay your bill online click here. We offer payments by checking accounts or Visa and MasterCard.

If you make your online payment

before 6:00 p.m. CT, Monday-Friday

The same day

after 6:00 p.m. CT, Monday-Thursday

The next day

after 6:00 p.m. CT, Friday

The following Monday

any time Saturday and Sunday

 

Electronic Payment Plan: By authorizing payments through our Electronic Payment Plan, your bank will automatically withdraw the amount of your bill from your checking or savings account or credit card on the normal due date. We will continue to send you your electric bill, so that you'll know the amount to be withdrawn. Enroll in thechecking or savings account electronic payment plan program and we'll give you a one-time credit of $10 off your electric bill. Due to charges we incur for credit card payments, we cannot offer the $10 credit for enrolling in that program.

Print out any of these forms above and below and mail it to Crow Wing Power to begin or change info on automatic payments.

In Person: You can also pay your bill at the drive through during normal business hours or after hours on nights and weekends at our headquarters, four miles north of Target at Crow Wing Power, Hwy 371 N., Brainerd.

Budget Billing Plan: Crow Wing Power also has available a budget billing plan. Simply call our office to set this up so you have the same amount to pay each month.

Electric Heat is Tax Exempt : Sign up to receive a six-month electric heat tax exemption during winter months if you meet the following requirements:

  • You have a single electric meter;
  • Your primary heat is electric
  • You have not previously signed an exemption form before; and
  • You do NOT have a dual fuel or off-peak meter* (if you have off-peak heat or a dual fuel meter, OR if you have previously signed an exemption form you are automatically exempt and do not need to return a form)

Minnesota law provides for the exemption of sales tax on residential electric heat. To qualify you must be able to declare that 50% of your primary residential heat is electrical. Tax is avoided from November through April.
