Paul Bunyan Nature Learning Center, Brainerd
Within our 65 acre preserve, we have a picnic area , about 3 miles of trails through a variety of native habitats such as prairies, wetlands, and forests. Our trails pr ovide the experienced naturalist and the beginning nature explorer a wide range of educational, scientific, and recreational opportunities. The Arboretum being developed on the three acres around the interpretive center will have Minnesota native trees, shrubs and wildflowers planted. We teach children and adults fascinating facts about the environment. We promote conservation for the land, water, and air we share with all things wild. And in the process, every visitor leaves with a renewed appreciation of every natural wonder.
