Annual Business Meeting

The 2025 Annual Business Meeting will be held at Brainerd Curling Club on Saturday, June 14. As a member-owned Cooperative, the Annual Business Meeting provides an opportunity for members to hear reports from officers and directors, receive the 2024 Annual Report, ask questions, and learn the results of the director elections.

The deadline for filing candidacy for an open director position is April 15, 2025, at 4:30 p.m. Members residing or owning real estate receiving service from Crow Wing Power in District 1B, 2A, or 3At-Large may file for candidacy during the open filing period. Director Election Information.

Survey & Ballot Systems, an independent firm, conducts the election voting and will mail a ballot to Crow Wing Power members in May. Members can vote ahead of the Annual Business Meeting by mail, or electronic online voting. Ballots can also be returned to Crow Wing Power headquarters or brought to the Annual Business Meeting. Instructions for voting options will be included in your 2025 ballot.


2025 Election Voting

2025 Election Voting Opens May 16, 2025 and closes on June 14, 2025. 

Ballots for the Director elections will be mailed in May to all members, the voting process will conclude on the morning of our Annual Business Meeting, where the elected directors will be announced.

How to Vote 

Online

Online voting must be done by 10 a.m. on June 13, 2025. When voting opens on May 16, 2025. Enter your individualized information printed on the detachable stub of the enclosed yellow return envelope marked “Official Ballot Use Only” and follow instructions given on the website.

QR Code From a mobile device, scan the QR code printed on the detachable stub of the enclosed yellow return envelope marked "Official Ballot Use Only" and it will take you to your personal ballot page.

SmartHub Vote in the app or online

  • App: Open your SmartHub app, login and click the "Vote Now" button.
  • Online: Log in to your SmartHub online account and click the "Vote Now button.

Mail

Ballots must be received at the post office box designated on the yellow return envelopes prior to 10:00 a.m. June 14, 2025.

To be counted, mailed ballots must be sealed in the "Secrecy Envelope" and inserted into the final "Official Ballot Use Only" return envelope. Read and follow directions carefully.

  • Two official envelopes are enclosed: a white "Ballot Secrecy Envelope" and a yellow Business Reply Envelope marked "Official Ballot Use Only".
  • Upon completing your ballot, insert the ballot into the white "Ballot Secrecy Envelope" and seal this envelope. Insert the sealed white "Secrecy Envelope" into the yellow "Official Ballot Use Only" return envelope. Tear off and discard the large stub on the back. It has your name and personal information for your verification and use only. Once removed, the card coding on the yellow envelope flap will identify you as the official vote. Seal and mail.

In-Person

In-person Ballots can be dropped off at Crow Wing Power by 5 p.m., Friday, June 13, 2025, or dropped off at the Annual Business Meeting by 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Brainerd Curling Club. Ballots must be in their sealed envelope.
