Breath of Life Adult Day Service is proud to announce its selection as the recipient of the esteemed $12,000 Impact Grant for 2024, generously funded by Operation Round-Up®. This grant is set to revolutionize the organization's services, facilitating the launch of an innovative program designed to enhance the lives of its participants.
Paul Welch, Retired Executive Director and current administrative support staff member, expressed his excitement, stating, "We're thrilled to have been awarded the Impact Grant, which enables us to introduce an innovative solution for our program participants: affordable transportation to medical appointments. What sets our approach apart is our dedicated staff from Breath of Life Adult Services accompanying individuals, ensuring they receive the necessary medical care, while also keeping families and caretakers informed. This level of support is unprecedented in our community, addressing a crucial gap, especially for working caretakers juggling the demands of aging family members and employment."
Serving a twenty-five-mile radius of Brainerd, Minnesota, including Crow Wing and Cass County, Breath of Life Adult Services is committed to providing top-quality daytime care for dependent adults.
In addition to this significant grant, Operation Round-Up® has disbursed second quarter grants to twenty-one different organizations, totaling $38,900. These grants represent Operation Round-Up®'s commitment to supporting local initiatives that enhance community well-being.
