Crow Wing Power is Accepting Applicants for the 17th Annual Statewide Touchstone Energy® Commitment to Community Award
Our employees not only work in the communities we serve, but they also live in those communities. From its humble beginnings in 1938 through today, this member-owned electric cooperative has teamed up with businesses, schools, and organizations throughout the area to strengthen and enhance our communities. We work hard to achieve a better quality of life for the people of Central Minnesota. With this spirit in mind, Crow Wing Power along with Touchstone Energy is pleased to offer the Commitment To Community Award.
We are taking applications from businesses or organizations that exemplify a strong commitment to community. The winner of the award will be notified in November and given $1,000 and a plaque. The application is brief and easy to apply.
Statewide, many Touchstone Energy Cooperatives, like Crow Wing Power, will offer the same in their local communities. All local winners are eligible for another statewide prize of $1,000, a plaque, and a one-night hotel stay to be awarded at the Minnesota Rural Electric Association Annual Meeting in February of 2022.
- Any business or organization that has made their community a better place to live and work is eligible. Organizations or businesses do not have to be a member of the cooperative but must serve a community need within the service boundaries of Crow Wing Power in Cass, Crow Wing, and/or Morrison Counties.
- Community members or the organization itself can make nominations.
- A description of the project, program, or event and the positive impact it brought to the community in 2020 or 2021.
- Applications need to be sent to Crow Wing Power on or before November 5, 2021.
